Del Monte Fleet Service was created by K.C. Del Monte Sr. in 1991.

K.C. started at the age of 17, learning the art of painting. With the desire to paint custom motorcycle tanks, he purchased a Sears air compressor & spray gun and began practicing. He started painting big sheets of metal and became familiar with the painting process. He then learned the use of airbrushing for custom effects. Soon thereafter, K.C. was painting motorcycle tanks and frames for many bike riders in the Northern VA area.

By painting motorcycles, K.C. had the desire to enhance his abilities and experience by learning the art of auto painting and bodywork.

At age 19, he obtained a job working as an apprentice at a Ford body shop and fell in love with the trade.

K.C. painted and conducted bodywork at various body shops throughout the years. As the results of working in a truck body repair shop, he learned the art of fiberglass work. Working with Fiberglass, K.C. began repairing boats and painting them with Gel Coat.

With K.C.’s vast knowledge, he is able to conduct complete paint and body repair of any type vehicle to include Boats, Trucks, Cars, Motorcycles, from start to finish.

In 1990, K.C. was “moonlighting” at various truck shops repairing their wrecks for extra income. After word spread throughout the area about his excellence in paint work, fiberglass work, body work, and quick turnaround time, K.C. decided to start his own business in 1991.

Although K.C. has his own shop, he decided to start a “body shop on wheels”, where his services can come to the customer, which saves the customer money and time. His work trucks are loaded with the proper needed equipment for painting and repairs. His Motto is “Old Fashion Quality Work at Reasonable Prices”.

K.C. was born and raised in Arlington, VA. He has two grown children and three granddaughters. When time permits, he enjoys cruising in his 1929 Ford Street Rod, riding his Harley Davidson Road King, and taking his friends and family boating.
